Effective date: August 9, 2026
This policy applies to packages purchased on or after the effective date.
The initial consultation is free and does not require payment. It provides an opportunity to discuss your goals, previous experience with French, scheduling needs, and the most appropriate program and starting point.
Courses are offered in 20-hour packages.
Payment in full is due within 7 days of receiving your invoice unless a payment plan or other arrangement has been agreed upon.
A $200 portion of the package price is a non-refundable deposit. This deposit covers the administrative and course-preparation work completed before classes begin, including course setup, lesson planning, and preparation of materials.
Payment is required to reserve your place and agreed class schedule.
All payments are made securely through PayPal.
Payment plans may be available by arrangement. The payment amount and schedule will be agreed upon before enrollment.
The first payment is required to reserve your place and includes the $200 non-refundable deposit.
Subsequent payments must be made according to the agreed payment schedule. If an installment is not received by its due date, classes may be suspended until payment is received.
If payment remains outstanding for 7 days after the due date and no alternative arrangement has been made, enrollment may be considered discontinued and the reserved class time may be released.
Your first class will be the first agreed class date at least two weeks after payment is received. This period allows time for course setup, lesson planning, and preparation of materials based on your needs and starting point.
Classes normally follow a regular weekly schedule agreed upon before the course begins. Alternative scheduling arrangements may be made when agreed upon by the student and instructor.
A 20-hour package is valid for six months from the date of the first class.
Any unused hours remaining after the expiration date are forfeited and are not eligible for a refund, unless an extension has been agreed upon in advance.
Classes cancelled with at least 24 hours’ notice may be rescheduled without penalty and will not be deducted from your package.
Classes cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice are forfeited and deducted from your package.
Missed classes without notice are also forfeited and deducted from your package.
Forfeited hours are considered used hours for the purpose of calculating any refund.
If I need to cancel a class, the class will be rescheduled at no penalty to you and will not be deducted from your package.
A $200 portion of your payment is a non-refundable deposit.
If you cancel your enrollment before classes begin, any amount you have paid beyond the $200 non-refundable deposit will be refunded.
If you decide not to complete your package after classes have begun, the refund is calculated by deducting:
the $200 non-refundable deposit; and
the value of all completed or forfeited hours, calculated at the hourly rate you paid for that package.
Any remaining balance from the amount you have paid will be refunded. Refunds cannot exceed the amount actually paid.
Hours remaining in an expired package are forfeited and are not eligible for a refund.
Small-group instruction may be available for self-formed groups. Group rates, payment arrangements, scheduling, cancellation terms, and participation policies will be provided and agreed upon before enrollment.
If a technical problem on my end prevents a class from taking place, the class will be rescheduled at no penalty to you and will not be deducted from your package.
Students are responsible for maintaining the internet connection, equipment, and accounts necessary to participate in online classes. If a technical problem on the student's end prevents participation, the standard cancellation policy applies.
Payments are accepted through PayPal and are processed securely through PayPal.
